Working alongside MassMutual, CVC DIF will enable Low Carbon to significantly expand its installed capacity and drive the next stage of growth as a diversified, leading next-generation IPP.

Role Description

We are looking for an early-career PM who is comfortable in technical environments: someone who can run a product development process end-to-end, translate business needs into clear requirements, and work confidently alongside engineers and quants. You will also get hands-on with design, with direct coaching in this area.

You will join a small, high-ownership team at an inflection point, helping shape how we build products, contributing to our AI-assisted development approach, and working directly with business users whose decisions have real-world impact on the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end product development process from requirements gathering and sprint planning to delivery working within a loosely Agile framework and progressively taking ownership of ceremonies over time.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal business users, translating inbound requests into clear, well-defined requirements while proactively shaping what gets built, pushing back where needed, and bringing your own thinking to prioritisation and scope.
  • Work directly with quants and engineers to translate complex model outputs into usable, well-designed product experiences challenging assumptions and advocating for the end user throughout.
  • Contribute to product roadmap planning for specific product areas, with the expectation of owning a roadmap area independently as you grow into the role.
  • Get hands-on with design: mapping user flows, defining interfaces, and iterating based on feedback with direct coaching from the Head of Product.
  • Contribute to the team's AI-assisted development approach, and over time play a role in shaping AI features and agents built for internal business use.

Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in a product management role, or equivalent experience in a closely related discipline (e.g. business analysis, UX, technical consulting).
  • Comfortable in technical environments: able to read code, hold informed conversations with engineers, and jump into hands-on prototyping including with coding agents and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Solid grounding in core product and delivery concepts: sprint-based and Kanban workflows, qualitative and quantitative research methods, and ideally some exposure to design research methods and UX heuristics.
  • Strong stakeholder skills able to work with a range of internal users from operators to senior leaders, push back constructively, and bring clarity to ambiguous or competing demands.
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where processes, products, and priorities are still being defined you help bring structure, rather than waiting for it.
  • Empathetic by default: you listen carefully to what users need and advocate for them, even when it's inconvenient.
  • High standards and the ownership to act on them you notice when something is off (in a dataset, a design, a spec) and you make sure it gets fixed, whether that's by raising it, fixing it yourself, or pushing until it's resolved.
  • An active user of AI tools in your day-to-day work this is a genuine expectation, not a nice-to-have.
  • Structured thinker: you communicate clearly, frame problems well, and can make a coherent case for a decision.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the energy sector or a similarly technical, data-heavy industry.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Figma/FigJam, VS Code.

Our Compensation & Benefits

  • 26 days holiday plus your birthday off (with option to buy a further 5 days)
  • Discretionary Bonus
  • Bupa Health Check & Private Healthcare for you and your family (medical history disregarded)
  • Contributory Pension

  • Annual credit towards short notice childcare, eldercare and pet care via ‘Bubble’

We’re committed to building an inclusive team and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences.
