The Opportunity

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an energy and climate consultant within Wardell Armstrong’s Energy & Climate Change team. This would ideally be located in our Truro or Bristol offices but we would consider applicants from elsewhere. The position is in the short terma aimed at fulfilling the increasing demand for our climate services, particularly climate impact assessments but the successful applicant would also be expected to be flexible and work across a range of energy and climate projects and clients. This position is aimed at someone with 0-3 years’ experience, ideally with an energy or climate change background.

As a consultant, your duties will include:

·          Undertaking climate change impact assessments

·          Whole Life Carbon Assessment

·          Carbon Accounting

·          Decarbonisation strategies

·          Energy and climate strategies

·          Supporting with proposal writing and work winning

·          There will also be the opportunity to work with the wider Energy & Climate Change team to prepare technical reports such as renewable energy feasibility, EIA and planning work and Glint Assessments

We are looking for someone who has a can-do attitude backed up by a succinct and positive writing style, excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to proactively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, a team player, committed to excellence and have strong organisational skills to successfully manage a diverse team and workload.  

As the successful candidate you will:

·          Hold a good science based or other relevant degree

·          Have a good technical knowledge of climate change assessment and or renewable energy

·          Hold a full UK driving licence

·          Have strong report writing and communication skills
