As an Energy and Carbon Intelligence Analyst at Sustainable Energy First, you will be responsible for analysing and reporting the clients' energy consumption and carbon emissions. This role is vital in helping businesses manage the development of robust carbon Intelligence and metering monitoring and targeting systems which support effective energy, carbon and financial management.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead the analysis and reporting of Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions using frameworks like the GHG Protocol.
  • Review and refine energy-saving targets based on performance data, regulatory changes, and evolving client priorities
  • Advising internal teams and clients on carbon methodologies, regulatory changes, and best practices.
  • Creation of quality reporting - Developing and preparing detailed, accurate, and timely reports for clients.
  • Target Setting - Work with stakeholders to set and review realistic and achievable energy-saving targets
  • Direct delivery of reporting to the client - Focus on the value add and insight.
  • Client Communication - Building client relationships and being a key point of contact for all things relating to the contracted reporting. Deliberate conversations with the client around the reporting, providing insight and opportunities not limited to the purpose of the report.
  • Continuous Improvements - Recommend operational or technical changes to improve efficiency and to support implementation of energy-saving initiatives and track their impact.

  • Energy and Environmental knowledge - Understanding of energy consumption, carbon emissions, sustainability practices and environmental regulations.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting - Ability to analyse large datasets, track energy consumption trends, and create clear, comprehensive reports.
  • Regulatory Knowledge - Familiarity with environmental regulations.
  • Communication Skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills to report findings to clients.
  • Sustainability Practices - Knowledge of energy efficient practices, renewable energy solutions, and environmental strategies to reduce carbon footprints.
  • Attention to detail - Precision in managing and reporting sustainable data.
  • Analytical skills - Ability to analyse client data and identify trends in areas of concern.
  • Problem Solving Skills - Ability to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies in client reports and correct them.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools such as Excel.

πŸ’· Salary: Β£35,000-Β£38,000 per annum

🌴 Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays + πŸ₯³ your birthday off, increasing to 30 days on length of service

🏠 Hybrid working - you must be able to commute to our Fulwood office 2 days p/week
