About the role
You will join us to build and revolutionise our outbound engine. Backed by our leadership team, you will audit, architect, and automate our pipeline generation and conversion strategy, leveraging the latest AI tools to 10x our output. Once the "engine" is built and the team is up-skilled, we offer the opportunity to start progressing and closing high-value deals using the system you helped build.
What you’ll be doing
- Collaborate with our Go-to-Market team to conduct an audit of our existing outbound channels, messaging, and tech stack to identify bottlenecks and conversion gaps
- Develop and iterate an outbound strategy that targets high-value accounts, taking learnings from live deals and sales execution to continuously refine the strategy, targeting, and AI-enabled prospecting workflows
- Scout, test, and implement cutting-edge AI sales tools to radically increase our reach without adding headcount (The "10x" Factor)
- Generate a target number of meeting opportunities to prove the new model's effectiveness, with a focus on quality/outcomes, not just meeting volume
- Shadowing senior BDMs, the Head of Sales, and the Commercial Director on strategic large accounts to develop a deep understanding of the end-to-end sales process, including deal structuring, negotiation, and closing
- Generating your own pipeline, and owning the end-to-end sales cycle for smaller deals in a defined territory
- Run training sessions to teach the wider team how to use new AI tools and modern prospecting techniques, turning every team member into an effective revenue generator
Who we’re looking for
You are a builder who wants to help us redefine how outbound sales is done. You are ready to take the best practices you’ve learned over the last few years and supercharge them with modern technology.
- Proven success: You have 2+ years of experience in Business Development or Sales Development Representative with a track record of exceeding targets
- Sector Expertise: Experience in the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) or Climate Tech is highly preferred so that you understand the nuances of the industry
- A tech-savvy experimenter: You are genuinely excited by the potential of AI in sales. You don’t just follow a playbook; you want to write the playbook, testing new tools and automating workflows to "10x" efficiency
- Data-driven: You can look at a tech stack and identify bottlenecks. You rely on data, not just intuition, to refine messaging and targeting strategies
- A force multiplier: You are comfortable sharing knowledge with peers to help elevate the wider team’s performance.
