About the role:


Sustainability Product Analysts sit in product teams, and help Altruistiq’s customers utilise the platform by carrying out routine sustainability analysis tasks. This includes analysing and scoring Product Carbon Footprints shared by customers, and building recommendations for emissions reductions. The candidate will receive internal training on the frameworks to be used, but we require pre-existing sustainability expertise (either a finished degree or one close. to graduating).


This role is a fixed term, 6-month internship.


In this role, you will:



  • Review and score Product Carbon Footprints shared by customers on the Altruistiq platform

    • Use a standardised scoring framework to review and score data shared by customers.

    • Flag potential issues with the framework, and help develop the framework and tooling for scoring by providing feedback.

    • Ensure incoming new data gets reviewed in a timely manner.



  • Update and maintain Altruistiq’s emission factor database with incoming data

    • Ensure that reviewed data gets uploaded to the emission factor database, and is useable by customers.



  • Create and publish emissions reduction recommendations for Altruistiq customers

    • Analyse customer data and identify opportunities using Altruistiq’s internal reduction recommendations library

    • Build the recommendations based on customer data and provided Excel frameworks

    • Upload and publish recommendations using internal Altruistiq tooling




About you:


We envisage the following skills and experiences could serve you well in this role.


Technical expertise



  • General analytical knowledge and software experience (eg Excel, Tableau, etc)


Sustainability knowledge



  • Good understanding of the GHG Protocol for Corporate Footprinting and the business activities driving emissions

  • General understanding of Lifecycle Assessments (LCAs) and Product Carbon Footprints
